Water Law Review Spring 2014 Symposium: Colorado's New Water Plan
April 18, 2014
8:30am to 5:00pm
The Water Law Review is excited to announce its annual Spring Symposium will take place April 18, 2014, at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
The Symposium this year will provide the unique occasion for attendees to explore the development of Colorado's new Water Plan. In preparation of the event, the Water Law Review has been working very closely with the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB). Several CWCB staff members, including CWCB Executive Director James Eklund, will present on the important aspects of Colorado's Water Plan.
Two additional panels will follow the CWCB's presentation. The second panel will include various representatives from some of Colorado's most important and influential Basin Roundtables. The third panel will consist of five stellar interstate representatives from Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, California, and Texas. These representatives will share their experiences working with other state water plans throughout the West. Amy Beatie, from the Colorado Water Trust, will round off the day's events with an ethics speech.
Now in its seventh year, the Symposium presents an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in water law to interact with and learn from leaders in the field. The Symposium is a CLE accredited event, and online registration will be made available shortly. Be on the lookout for early-registration specials.
Please continue to periodically check this page, and we will soon provide a link to a detailed itinerary of the Symposium.
Congratulations to Water Law Review Advisory Board member Jim Lochhead for receiving the prestigious 2014 Aspinall Award.
