The Volume 22 Water Law Symposium will take place April 4th and 5th, 2019 at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. This year’s Symposium is dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the 1969 Water Rights Determination and Administration Act. This act codified decades of water law practice and policy in the state and has made Colorado a worldwide model for the administration and distribution of water rights in an arid environment.

The Symposium will examine the past, the present, and the future of the 1969 Act. It will be an unprecedented opportunity to explore the history of the Act, its implementation and the major changes and decisions that have shaped the current state of water law in Colorado.

This celebration of the 1969 Act is organized and made possible by the generosity and support of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, the Colorado Supreme Court Water Court Committee, and the Colorado Bar Association CLE.
